In order to reach high speeds and yet allow a very smooth process, PDC has developed a new generation of Stretch sleeve applicators. With a single sleeve indeed head, two pairs of stretchers have been put in place. When one pair grabs the sleeve the other pair finishes the application process. No time lots. The process is patented. The vertical speed is divided by two.

Originally developed for empty container stretch sleeve application, at low speed, from 1 up to 15 litres:
1. Located in line after the blow molding, or off line, the machine synchronizes the containers. Select them, one by one in order to transfer them on a dead plate where the sleeve application will occur.
2. The PE stretch sleeve is opened via a mandrel. Fed, then grabbed by stretchers. The sleeve is stretched (will have dimensions larger than the container foot print) and brought down onto the container. The sleeve is released only once in position.
3. this Stretch Sleeve Applicator can reach speeds up to 15 cycles/mn

1. This stretch sleeve applicator handles the products in line and stops them under the sleeve application head.
2. Then the mandrel opens the sleeve, 4 stretchers (star opening, patented by PDC Europe) grab and stretch the PE sleeve. Then bring the stretched sleeve onto the container. The sleeve is released only once in the final position.
3. The product is then released and the cycle starts again. It is a linear machine with a very small footprint though it can handle a large range of containers.
4. Decoration and bundling are possible with the same machine.
5. Production speed up to 50 ppm.
