As we talk about “recycling”, we should say “re-incorporate” regarding the natural cycle. Indeed, our role is to “Close the Circle”, without complexity, just by bio-mimicry, in order to help Nature to play its role to the end.
Nowadays, scavengers are lacking. They are the organisms that decay our waste and feed the new generations. They have been replaced by chemicals from our farmer friends, but we do not want that anymore. We need to find solutions that are “clean” in a way that they do not degrade our environment more than we have already done. That’s our goal!
We have drawn so much on the Nature’s resources, without giving her back what she has given us, that today she is warning us – “I am a finite world, pump, you will die”.
Obviously, the earth, the nature, will survive, it will continue its orbit around the sun. But nature as we used to know will change, we will no longer find our place. Unless we give it the energy it needs to stabilize.
So it’s not a question of living without oil, plastic, chemicals … It’s about putting in place solutions – as Lavoisier said – “everything is transformed” without losing the energy of origin. The control of the exergy, optimization of any effort, of any production, and to return the whole to a state which makes it possible to exploit it again. That’s the solution!
It’s a simplistic summary but it dictates our future – do nothing if we can not give it a cycle, get into a virtuous circle. What I consume must be measured, what remains of it must be re-cycled.
